HC Deb 30 July 1952 vol 504 cc1452-3
5. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what report the expert mission on the high cost of the Gambia Rice Farm has made to him.

Mr. Lyttelton

The appointment of this mission was an internal arrangement of the Corporation to inquire into one of its own schemes. Its report was therefore made to the Corporation and not to me.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

As the report undoubtedly contains valuable constructive suggestions which have been made at public expense, will my right hon. Friend see whether it is possible in some way to make it available to those who are interested?

Mr. Lyttelton

I shall be very glad to bring the suggestion to Lord Reith's notice.
