§ 19. Mr. G. Brownasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can now say when he will announce the Government's policy for the horticultural industry; and 737 whether a decision has been reached in the application by the National Farmers' Union for a review of horticultural tariffs.
§ Sir T. DugdaleI have nothing to add to the replies given by my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade and myself to my hon. Friend the Member for Kidderminster (Mr. Nabarro) on 3rd July and to the right hon. Member on 17th July.
§ Mr. BrownBoth those answers were extremely unsatisfactory to everybody in the House and to the industry. Since the right hon. Gentleman was going to do so much better than we were doing does not he think that after nine months it is about time that he got round to dealing with this matter?
§ Sir T. DugdaleI have nothing further to add today.
§ Mr. BrownI beg to give notice that I shall raise this matter at the earliest possible moment on the Adjournment.
