HC Deb 07 July 1952 vol 503 cc876-7
9. Mr. Shepherd

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what success has attended the experiment in the utilisation of low temperature heat at Battersea Power Station; and what plans are in hand for the further utilisation of such energy now being wasted in other generating stations.

The Minister of Fuel and Power (Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd)

This experiment has proved technically successful, but it will take some time to weigh up its economic merits. Discussions are taking place between the British Electricity Authority and other bodies with the intention of promoting other schemes of a similar nature.
