HC Deb 07 July 1952 vol 503 c888
32. Mr. Crouch

asked the Minister of Transport how many accidents occurred during the last 20 years at the Thickthorn crossroads where the B.3081 crosses the A.354 road; how many of these involved motor cars or lorries, and motor cycles, respectively; and how many of these accidents have proved fatal.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport (Mr. Gurney Braithwaite)

I regret that the information is not immediately available, but I am having inquiries made.

Mr. Crouch

When my hon. Friend has the information will he, in the light of it, make money available to the local authority so that it can try to do something to prevent further accidents at this crossroads? Nothing more than two "Halt" signs have ever been erected on the two side-roads.

Mr. Braithwaite

The first thing to do is to obtain the information.
