§ 43. Miss Burtonasked the Assistant Postmaster-General why it has not been possible to reply to the hon. Member for Coventry, South concerning the Sports Television Advisory Committee, about which he received letters on 1st July and 17th November.
§ Mr. GammansIt has not been possible to send a final reply for the reason mentioned in my correspondence with the hon. Member.
§ Miss BurtonWhile I admit to a vested interest in this reply, is the Minister aware that I put the Question down in desperation because I could not get an answer? I have still not had one. Does he not think it a gross discourtesy to the Committee that it should have taken five months to decide when its next meeting will be, and he has not even given an answer today?
§ Mr. GammansThe hon. Lady, who is a member of the Committee, should know that the calling of its meetings depends very largely on the Chairman, and I suggest that she writes to the Chairman asking when the next meeting is to be called.
