§ 14. Mr. Jannerasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of his estimate that the production of nylon yarn in this country should be trebled in 1954, he will give some indication how this increase will be spread over each quarterly period between now and that date.
§ Mr. H. StraussThere is unlikely to be any material increase in the production of nylon before the latter half of 1954 when the new manufacturing capacity is expected to come into operation.
§ Mr. JannerIs the Minister aware that our export market is being very seriously impaired in consequence of the fact that the yarn for the purpose of making these samples is not available? Will he do something to put the matter in order before it is too late and we have lost the whole of our export market?
§ Mr. StraussThat is one of the reasons why capacity is being increased.
