§ Mr. Emrys HughesI wish to present a humble Petition from residents in the County of Ayr to the honourable the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament assembled.
The Petition states that the de-rationing of eggs will result in the price being increased to people in receipt of the lowest incomes, old-age pensioners and persons in receipt of National Assistance and that hardship and injustice will be caused thereby.
Wherefore your petitioners pray that suitable measures be taken to prevent undue hardship arising from the Government's plan to deration eggs, and your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.To lie upon the Table.
