§ 48. Sir H. Williamsasked the hon. Member for Woolwich, West, as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, if he will make a statement about the experiment of 35 using the Harcourt Room as a lounge; and whether, in view of the congestion in the Dining Rooms, he will consider restoring it as a dining room.
§ Mr. StewardThis matter is under consideration by the Kitchen Committee and will be discussed at their next meeting, to be held on Wednesday of this week.
§ Mr. ChapmanCould the hon. Member tell us to what extent now the Strangers' Dining Room is over-booked, and on what evenings of the week is it impossible to get bookings? Surely that has a bearing on the matter.
§ Mr. StewardI should prefer not to make any statement until the Committee have considered the matter on Wednesday.
