33. Mr. Chapman

asked the Minister of Food what allowances of rationed foods will be available for functions celebrating Her Majesty's Coronation.

Dr. Hill

I cannot yet add to the reply my right hon. and gallant Friend gave to the hon. Member for Islington, East (Mr. E. Fletcher) on 26th November.

Mr. Chapman

Cannot the Minister help in this matter? Cannot he tell us whether there will be some chance of street parties and other local celebrations for the Coronation being allowed a little bit extra so that they can celebrate in a proper fashion?

Dr. Hill

I hope that an answer will be given very soon. I appreciate the point. We are seeing what can be done to help just the kind of gathering to which the hon. Gentleman has referred.
