asked the President of the Board of Trade how the consumption of Greek and Turkish tobacco, respectively, to the latest convenient date of 1952, compares with a similar period of 1951.

In the first nine months of 1952 cigarette and tobacco manufacturers in the United Kingdom used 2,092,000 lb. of Greek tobacco and 5,924,000 lb. of Turkish tobacco. For the first nine months of 1951 the corresponding figures were 2,704,000 lb. and 5,632,000 lb., respectively.
