asked the Minister of Food the current annual rate of the subsidy on bread.

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on 23rd July last to my hon. Friend the Member for Newbury (Mr. Hurd).

Will the Minister take the opportunity of denying the allegation that he is plotting to slash this subsidy, also?

I do not see why I should have to deny it. I have not seen the allegation.
