HC Deb 07 April 1952 vol 498 c2294
Mr. Geoffrey Hirst

(by Private Notice) asked the Minister of Transport whether he has a statement to make regarding the accident at Saltaire, Shipley, last Saturday, when a fire engine charged through a bus queue, killing two women and seriously injuring others and whether he will institute an inquiry.

Mr. Maclay

I am very sorry indeed to learn of this most unfortunate accident and should like to express my sympathy and, I am sure that of the House, with the injured and with the families of those who were killed. I have as yet no detailed information, but I have called for an urgent report.
