asked the Minister of Transport if he will make a statement about the future use of the Kingsway tunnel.

asked the Minister of Transport what use is to be made in future of the Kingsway tram subway.

I am awaiting a report from a technical committee set up by my predecessor to inquire into the practicability of using the Kingsway subway for vehicular traffics.

Will the Minister bear in mind that this single-purpose traffic-way, with no horses and no pedestrians, was the most efficient one in London, and will he bear in mind that it was also the quickest way between the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Houses of Parliament?

Doubtless, the technical committee is considering this.

Will the Government use the tunnel in order to bury some of the promises given by the Tory Party?
