§ Mr. CrookshankThe auditor drew attention in a report dated 8th March, 1951, to the use of the car for purposes other than National Health Service duties and expressed the view that the cost of these journeys was not a proper charge on Exchequer funds. This use of the car has now ceased. There is no power of surcharge in circumstances of this kind.
