asked the President of the Board of Trade why he has not consulted the trade unions concerned in considering the future of the Liverpool Cotton Market, when he has had, or is having, consultations with the employers' organisations in the matter.

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my hon. and learned Friend on 27th November. I should add that a further discussion took place on that day with a fully representative delegation of trade unions in the cotton spinning and manufacturing industry.
