asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air what is the average weekly wage in British currency of unskilled Egyptian labourers employed by his Department on work at aerodromes in the Suez Canal area.

Twenty shillings.

Mr. Hughes

Will the hon. Gentleman consider giving them a little extra for Christmas?

They are now receiving more than they did under the late Government.
