asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is aware that the site proposed to be used as a refuse tip for the colliery at Walls Court Farm is agricultural land; and why planning permission has been given for its use for this purpose.

Mr. H. Macmillan

I understand that planning permission has not yet been given for this.

Mr. Awbery

Is there not an alternative piece of waste land available for this purpose? Would the right hon. Gentleman see that it is offered to the National Coal Board in order to preserve the agricultural land?

I am communicating with the hon. Gentleman. I should be very glad if he would give me any further information.
