HC Deb 21 November 1951 vol 494 c385
70. Mr. Patrick Maitland

asked the Minister of Food if he is aware that growers of soft fruit and tomatoes in the Clyde Valley have in the past suffered from foreign dumping, since the suspension of import by open general licence has hitherto been timed without due regard for the lateness of the Scottish season; and if he will take steps to remedy this.

Major Lloyd George

I am not aware that growers of soft fruit and tomatoes in the Clyde Valley have suffered from foreign imports in recent years, but if my hon. Friend would send me details I will look further into the matter.
