HC Deb 21 November 1951 vol 494 cc369-70
15. Mr. T. W. Jones

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General the number of telephones installed in the county of Merioneth during the 12 months ended 31st October, 1951; the number of outstanding applications; and to what extent adequate construction is in progress to meet the demand.

Mr. Gammans

The number of telephones installed is 135; and the number of oustanding applications is 357. I regret that our limited resources do not enable us to provide sufficient plant to meet the demand as rapidly as we should like.
