Kinrara, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malaya, serving a sentence imposed by court-martial in Korea, is deprived of copies of the local newspapers sent to him regularly by his parents from home; and whether he will allow this soldier to read news from home.
§ Mr. HeadIn accordance with the Rules for Military Detention Barracks and Prisons, the commandant of a military detention barrack or corrective establishment may use his discretion in allowing soldiers under sentence to see any particular newspaper. I am having inquiries made into this case, and when they are completed I will write to the hon. Member.
