HC Deb 19 November 1951 vol 494 c16
32. Mr. E. Carson

asked the Minister of National Insurance what progress has been made by the National Insurance Advisory Committee on the question referred to them on 8th August regarding a review of the National Insurance (Seasonal Workers) Regulations, 1950, Report.

Mr. Peake

I understand that the Committee have received written representations from organisations and individuals concerned and are in course of taking oral evidence.

Mr. Carson

Is my right hon. Friend aware that we in the coastal resorts are entering the worst time of the year, and will he urge the Committee to do everything possible to get this report out as soon as possible?

Mr. Peake

The closing date for representations in writing to the Committee was 12th October, and I am assured they are proceeding with the inquiry as fast as possible.
