HC Deb 19 November 1951 vol 494 c29
58. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what recent information he has received from the United Nations about conditions in Pusan.

Mr. Eden

None, Sir.

Mr. Hughes

Would the Foreign Secretary not agree that it is time the people of this country had a clear idea of the terrible suffering of the people in these Korean towns? Is it not time we had a White Paper showing the people of this country what happens to a Korean town when it is liberated by bombing?

Mr. Eden

I think everybody knows that the Koreans have suffered very much, but they suffered first from an act of aggression from without.
