§ 5. Mr. Peter Freemanasked the Minister of Pensions when the storage shed and the necessary alteration to the paths and gateway for the motor invalid chair supplied to Mrs. Waggett of Newport recently will be completed, in view of the fact that instructions to proceed with this work were given in July.
Mr. AmoryThe shed has already been delivered. A revised estimate for the alterations to the path and gateway has been approved and the contractor has promised to complete the work this week.
§ Mr. FreemanCan the hon. Gentleman say whether the necessary instructions will be given also in connection with this car, and whether instructions and advice are given to all invalids who receive these motorcars, as it was not given until quite recently?
Mr. AmoryI will look into that point, but I believe that full instructions in the use of these vehicles is given; in any case, we hope that those who use these vehicles will be in close touch with the local welfare officers, who will look into that point.
