§ 33. Mr. F. J. Errollasked the Minister of Transport what steps are being taken to improve the punctuality of train services between London and Manchester.
§ Mr. MaclayThis is a matter for the British Transport Commission, and perhaps my hon. Friend would write to Lord Hurcomb about it.
§ Mr. ErrollIs the Minister aware that that is the sort of answer we used to get before the General Election? Is he 640 further aware that under the 1947 Act he has power to ask for information from the British Transport Commission? Will he therefore ask for the information and bring it to this House?
§ Mr. MaclayPerhaps my hon. Friend will await a statement which I understand the Leader of the House will be making at the end of Questions today.
