50. Mr. Baker White

asked the Minister of Defence what steps are taken to ensure that in the making of films on contract by private companies for use in the training of the Armed Forces full security regulations are observed.

Mr. Shinwell

The production of films for training the Armed Forces involving secret or confidential information is subject to the normal safeguards imposed on all civil organisations who obtain secret or confidential contracts. In addition, whichever film unit is concerned is supervised throughout production by a technical Service adviser.
