asked the Post master-General whether he will consider raising the limit of compensation paid by his Department for the loss of parcels, in view of the fact that postal charges have increased since these compensation rates were fixed.

I assume that the hon. Member is referring to the compensation payable for loss of an inland unregistered parcel. I am examining the question and as soon as my examination, which may take a little time, is complete I will write to the hon. Member.
