9. Dr. Hill

asked the Secretary of State for War when it is expected that 22154517 Lance Corporal E. A. Tatton, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, D. Company (J) Regimental Holding Unit, Hiro, Japan. who completes his two years' National Service on 7th July, 1951, will arrive in this country.

Mr. Strachey

I understand that this soldier embarked on 2nd June, 1951, from Japan for Hong Kong. I have given instructions for him to be flown back to this country if the normal shipping service will not allow him to arrive in the United Kingdom in time for his release on 7th July.
