Resolved:

That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session substituting for the existing limit of fifteen million pounds on the contributions out of moneys provided by Parliament which may be made under section one of the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act, 1944, a new limit of forty-five million pounds, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase attributable to the substitu- tion of that new limit in the sums payable out of such moneys under subsection (5) of section one of that Act or under Part 1 of the Local Government Act, 1948.—[Mr. Lindgren.]
