Lords Amendment: In page 6, line 17, after "shall" insert "within one week."

Mr. Mitchison

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

The Amendment is designed merely to ensure that certain matters shall in certain events be communicated by a rural district council to the county council within a certain time.

Question put, and agreed.

Lords Amendment: In page 6, line 34, insert: (5) The power of making orders under subsection (2) and subsection (4) of this section shall be exercisable by statutory instrument and any such instrument shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.

The Amendment defines and limits the order-making power under the Bill. It seems advisable.
