HC Deb 21 June 1951 vol 489 cc699-700
44. Sir I. Fraser

asked the Minister of Health what steps he is taking to ensure that the cuts in hospital estimates now being imposed do not adversely affect the interests of the patients.

Mr. Marquand

The reduction in estimates still allows, of course, for a substantial increase in hospital expenditure and there is, in my view, no reason at all why the interests of patients should be adversely affected.
