§ Order for Third Reading read.
§ 4.25 p.m.
§ The Minister of Fuel and Power (Mr. Philip Noel-Baker)
I beg to move,That the Order be discharged; that the Bill be re-committed to a Committee of whole House in respect of the Amendments in Clause 1, page 1, line 18, and page 2, lines 1 and 2, standing on the Notice Paper in the name of Mr. Noel-Baker.
§ Mr. Brendan Bracken (Bournemouth, East and Christchurch)
We have stated our objections to this Bill. There is no virtue in repetition. Business of perhaps greater importance is before the House today, and so we shall say nothing more than that we think very little of this Bill. We are not going to take up the time of the House by repeating our arguments or encouraging verbosity.
§ Question put, and agreed to.
§ Bill immediately considered in Committee.
