HC Deb 04 June 1951 vol 488 c688
Mr. Osborne

On a point of order. May I ask for your guidance, Mr. Speaker, as to whether an hon. Member has any means of "getting at" the Minister of Transport for not providing facilities to bring hon. Members to the House in time for Questions? I left Leicester at 11.30 this morning in order to be here in time for Questions Nos. 7 and 10, but a train which took one and a half hours before the war, and is now allowed 2½ hours for the journey, was nearly 40 minutes late and I missed the Questions. Have we any redress against the Minister of Transport for failing in his duties?

Mr. Speaker

I do not think that the hon. Member could get a Question about that on the Order Paper. It seems to me to be more or less a matter of the day-today administration of British Railways.
