HC Deb 30 July 1951 vol 491 cc1093-4

Lords Amendment: In page 40, line 24, leave out from "order," to "there," in line 27.

The Solicitor-General

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

The words which it is proposed to leave out by this Amendment refer to a power to take possession of land under an authorisation given under Section 2 of the Acquisition of Land (Authorisation Procedure) Act, 1946. Section 2 of the Act of 1946 was a temporary provision and, as many hon. Members wilt be glad to hear, the words proposed to be left out have become obsolete since the Bill was introduced in this House.

Question put, and agreed to.
