§ 59. Mr. P. Wellsasked the Minister of Agriculture if, in view of the evidence that anthrax has been introduced into this country by raw bone meal produced from sun-dried bones, he will stop its importation.
§ Mr. ChampionNo, Sir. To prohibit the importation of raw bone meal would mean depriving farmers of considerable quantities of an important organic fertiliser and I do not think the risk of disease justifies this in present circumstances.
