Mr. Bellasked the Minister of Transport whether the Slough Corporation have now submitted to him for approval plans for the reconstruction and widening of the road bridge carrying the Uxbridge Road, A 412, over the Grand Union Canal where road traffic is now restricted as to speed and weight on account of the condition of the bridge.

§ Mr. BellIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that these restrictions have now been in force for a considerable time? 1870 Will he expedite the reconstruction and widening of this bridge, so that it is fit to carry modern traffic?
§ Mr. BarnesFor the time being, I think I had better leave it to the experts. When I have received their report I will further consider the matter.
