§ 14. Mr. Thomas Reidasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what communication he has received from the Greek Government relating to the Cyprus Enosis demand; and what action he proposes to take.
§ The Minister of State (Mr. Kenneth Younger)I have received no such communication from the Greek Government and the second part of the Question, therefore, does not arise.
§ Mr. ReidIs it not a fact that the Greek Government met a delegation from Cyprus, and that the Greek Government expressed complete approval of that policy?
§ Mr. YoungerThat is another question. I was asked whether there had been any approach by the Greek Government and the answer is. "No."
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydIs it not the policy of His Majesty's Government that this is a non-discussible question?
§ Mr. YoungerI think that the hon. Gentleman is quite correct. I would prefer that any question relating to status be addressed to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
