§ 54. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Mooreasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the policy of His Majesty's Government in regard to a closer economic, political and commercial co-operation with the Government of Yugoslavia.
§ Mr. Ernest DaviesHis Majesty's Government have already demonstrated their willingness to co-operate with Yugoslavia in economic and commercial matters by making available credits to assist Yugoslav trade with this country. In the same spirit they discuss with the Yugoslav Government from time to time other questions of common interest.
§ Sir T. MooreTo what extent will this country benefit by such co-operation? Has any analysis been made?
§ Mr. DaviesI think that co-operation with Yugoslavia at this time might help Yugoslavia to understand better the democratic ideal and come to a better understanding.
