§ 6. Mr. Hugh Linsteadasked the Minister of National Insurance what annual payments are made by his Department to the Ministry of Health in respect of the National Health Service; of what approximate amounts; and in respect of what sections of the Service.
§ Mr. PeakeThe total amount estimated to be paid by way of appropriation in aid for the National Health Service in the year 1951–52 is £40,100,000, of which £4,100,000 is in respect of Scotland. The payment is a general contribution towards the cost of the Service and not in respect of any specific sections of it.
