§ 17. Mr. Watkinson
asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will give a list of the various committees that act as a link between his Department and industry.

§ Mr. Rhodes
The list of committees, etc., which act as a link between the Board of Trade and industry is too long to circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT, and I am sending it to the hon. Member.

§ Mr. Watkinson
Is this list as long as that of the Ministry of Supply, which has over 250 committees?

§ Mr. Rhodes
I should not think that ours is as long, but it is lengthy.

§ Mr. Shepherd
Will the hon. Gentleman undertake to review these arrangements with a view to making the organisation smaller and more efficient in its work?

§ Mr. Rhodes
No, Sir. This organisation is very efficient.
