Resolved: That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to substitute twenty-four months for eighteen months as the term of whole-time service under the National Service Acts, 1948, and for purposes connected therewith, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase attributable to the passing of the said Act in the expenses directed to be defrayed out of moneys provided by Parliament by section fifty-five of the National Service Act, 1948."—[Mr. Isaacs.]
