§ 61. Major Legge-Bourkeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what arrangements he has made or intends making with the Governments of Syria, Iraq and Jordania and others with a view to caring for Arab refugees from Israel after the International Refugee Organisation closes down.
§ Mr. Ernest DaviesResponsibility for the care of Palestine refugees has been vested by the General Assembly of the United Nations in the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, the establishment of which was approved at last year's Session of the Assembly. It has never been the responsibility of the International Refugee Organisation. The position is not therefore affected by the closing down of that Organisation.
