asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why the Seventy-Fifth Annual Report of the Public Works Loan Board, 1949–50, was presented in dummy on 19th June, 1950; and when the full report will be available.

Mr. Jay

The Report was presented in dummy on 19th June, 1950, in order to comply with Section 5 (3) of the Public Works Loans Act, 1875. The full Report became available on 19th September, 1950.

Mr. Erroll

Could this Report be speeded up in future so that we shall not have to stare at a dummy for several months?
