HC Deb 27 November 1950 vol 481 c764
11. Brigadier Clarke

asked the Minister of Food what complaints he has received from the trade and from consumers concerning the new sausages that he has authorised.

Mr. F. Willey

There have been no complaints about quality. There have been complaints that there are not enough to go round, but that can only be remedied when more pork is available.

Brigadier Clarke

Does the Minister realise that neither the trade nor the public are satisfied with his present sausage arrangements?

Mr. Willey

On the contrary, I have no reason to believe that there are any complaints on the grounds of the quality of the sausage.

Mr. Mellish

Will my hon. Friend ask Members opposite whether they want pork or bacon, or more sausages?

Miss Florence Horsbrugh

Has the Parliamentary Secretary himself sampled the sausages?

Mr. Willey

No, Sir, I have not.
