HC Deb 27 November 1950 vol 481 c767
18. Mr. Douglas Marshall

asked the Minister of Food if, in view of the disastrous harvest in Cornwall, he will consider an alteration in the November cereal split, that where the home-grown grain cannot be purchased this percentage of the split can be allotted to imported maize and barley.

Mr. F. Willey

We cannot alter the "cereal split" for November, but if merchants are unable to purchase supplies of home-grown cereals against their buying permits supplies of such cereals are available from Ministry stocks.
