§ The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Ede)I am informed that it will be necessary to refer the Festival of Britain (Sunday Opening) Bill to the Examiners, as private interests may be affected. The Second Reading of the Bill, announced for Wednesday next, will, therefore, be postponed, and instead we shall ask the House to take the Committee stage of the Restoration of Pre-War Trade Practices Bill; the Colonial Development and Welfare Bill; and the Solicitors Bill. On Friday we shall take the concluding stages of these Bills.
