HC Deb 22 May 1950 vol 475 cc1629-30
16. Mr. Driberg

asked the Minister of Food if he is aware that, owing to the recent cold weather, many beekeepers need extra sugar to save their stocks from starvation; what representations on this matter he has received from the Essex Beekeepers Association; and what action he is taking.

Mr. F. Willey

We are keeping this and other representations very much in mind. By a long-standing arrangement allotments of sugar for beekeepers are made in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
