Resolved: That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to extend the periods limited by the Lee Conservancy Catchment Board Act, 1938, for the exercise by the Lee Conservancy Catchment Board of the powers therein contained for the compulsory purchase of land and the construction of works for the drainage of the Catchment Area of the said Board and for the prevention of floods therein it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any sums which may become payable thereout by reason of the application by the said Act of 1938 of the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1930, in relation to works authorised by the said Act of 1938 as if those works had been the improvement of existing works and the construction of new works under the said Act of 1930." —[The Chairman of Ways and Means.]
