HC Deb 16 May 1950 vol 475 c997
43. Mr. George Thomas

asked the Minister of National Insurance whether she is aware that applicants for help from the National Assistance Board in a Cardiff office have to state their circumstances in the view and hearing of other applicants within the room; and what action she proposes to change this system.

Dr. Summerskill

The Board agree that the accommodation in their Cardiff offices is inadequate. I am glad to say, however, that my right hon. Friend the Minister of Works has now found alternative premises which will be taken over as soon as the necessary adaptations have been made.

Mr. Thomas

Thank you.
