§ 75. Mr. Hayasked the Minister of Health what are his plans for Kingwood 556 Camp, Nettlebed, Oxfordshire; and when it is proposed to restore the rights of common which formerly existed.
§ Mr. BevanThe local authority are using this camp to provide temporary housing accommodation. I cannot at present say for how long it will be necessary to retain it for this purpose.
§ Mr. HayIs the right hon. Gentleman not aware that certain steps have been taken by the local authority to clear these people out and rehouse them, and is it not time that the rights of common were restored to the people there?
§ Mr. BevanAs the people are provided with other accommodation the common will be restored. In the meantime, the needs of those who are there must stand against the commoners' rights.
