§ Mr. F. WilleyMy Department exercises no statutory control over the price and distribution of whisky except that the Scotch Whisky (Auction Sales) Order prohibits such sales other than under licence. There have been no prosecutions under this Order. The Scotch Whisky Association recommends the observance of certain maximum retail prices for whisky. We maintain close co-operation with the Association on matters of mutual interest.
